While the methods on teaching the new material has changed, as well as the technology used, the approach is the same. Essay: Creativity+living symbolically=Effective Problem Solving
Over the past 15 years I have been an educator, very few approaches towards education have changed, other than the technologies used to educate the students. (Classrooms have gone from using chalkboards to overhead projectors to white boards to computer software to run “smart boards.” These advancements, as well the use of personal computers, have provided better access to information but have done little to enhance students’ ability to critically think.) These programs have led to frustration of parents, teachers and administrators, not to mention frustrated students.
